When we say this was one of THE hardest secrets to keep, we mean it. When FitOne had to go virtual in 2020, there was a giant hole in our hearts.

That's why we're thrilled to announce that the cat is out of the bag! After hashing out a safety plan with the medical experts at St. Luke's Hospital and Central District Health, FitOne is thrilled to announce that they will be offering an in-person option for this year's race on Saturday, September 25! Like previous years, three distances will be offered: 5K, 10K and Half Marathon. As part of the safety plan, they'll have to reduce the number of participants to 6,350 people. So, if toeing that starting line is important to you, set yourself a reminder to register on June 30. For one day only, all distances will be offered for just $30! Kids 12 and under are free with an adult registration.

Some other changes to this year's in-person race include:

  • Rolling start times/space out waves
  • Mask requirements in the start and finish areas
  • Additional shuttles to allow for distancing
  • Pre-packaged swag at the finish
  • No finish festival

As more people receive their COVID-19 vaccines, many are feeling more comfortable in group settings. However, being part of St. Luke's, FitOne understands that it may take some folks longer to feel comfortable in crowds again. That's why this year, they'll also offer a virtual option for those who want to take on their distance alone or with a small bubble of people they're at ease with. You'll still get your shirt, bib, medal and swag if you go virtual and you'll have from September 19-25 to complete your race.
