Idaho’s Most Terrifying Attraction is a Quick Road Trip from Boise
A recent travel survey sought out the attraction most likely to get your blood pumping and your heart racing in every state, including Idaho.
We stumbled across loveEXPLORING’s list of the most terrifying destinations in every state and couldn’t wait to see what they picked for the Gem State. Since the list is in alphabetical order, we scrolled past everything from roads with dicey, razor-sharp bends and 250 tall ziplines to extreme white-water runs and thrill rides.
Last time we checked, Idaho has every single one of those. In fact, Silverwood is home to a coaster that made thrill ride history! Their Corkscrew coaster didn’t always call Idaho home. It originally belonged to California’s legendary Knott’s Berry Farm. When it was built in 1975, it became the first modern coaster to turn its riders upside down. The coaster was moved to Silverwood in 1990 and now Idaho’s only amusement park has a little piece of coaster history.
Silverwood and some of the other sort of thrills that we mentioned might be a bit of a drive from Boise, but hey they’re still within the state’s borders and they count!
