After 109 submissions, the selection committee at CWI has narrowed down a grand prize winner in our first ever "Mom's Next Move" contest!

It was no small task for for the selection committee to pick a winner because every single one of you ladies were truly deserving of a chance to write the next chapter in your story by going back to school with a full year's scholarship to the College of Western Idaho.

Please join us in congratulating our grand prize winner, Tesa Christensen! Tesa didn't graduate from high school, but jumped into the work force as a stylist at a young age to help out her single mom.  She ended up getting married, but divorced when her daughter (who's now a junior at BSU) was just six months old.  She worked full time as a single mom to not just support her daughter, but help take care of her own mom who'd been diagnosed with lung cancer. Tesa was her caretaker until she passed and helped take care of her grandfather until he passed two years later.  She's always dreamed of getting into to the medical field as a medical assistant and now that she's done taking care of everyone else, knew it was the right time to go for it.  Tesa started getting her GED (and only has the math part left to pass) with the very goal of going to CWI to start courses in the field. We know she's going to rock that last test and are so very proud to see her taking the next step in her journey!
