And the 2019 Mom’s Next Move Grand Prize Winner Is…

After more than 50 entries, the selection committee at CWI has chosen the grand prize winner of this year's "Mom Next Move" scholarship contest.

I'll be honest, while I reading through this year's entries I cried almost as much as I do when we're doing LITE-FM Christmas Wish during the winter months.  Every single one of these moms truly deserve the chance to pursue their dreams.  It was no small task for the College of Western Idaho selection committee to pick a grand prize winner to be awarded a full year's scholarship to pursue their dreams!

It's my pleasure to introduce you to this year's grand prize winner, Nicole Widner! When we opened submissions for the scholarship contest she felt like it was fate.  She'd just logged on to Facebook after submitting her FAFSA form to pursue enrollment at CWI when our entry form appeared in her newsfeed. Hoping that it wasn't just a coincidence, she opened up her heart and shared why going back to school to pursue a career in nursing was so important to her.

Because it was so difficult to narrow down just one winner in this year's contest, CWI will also extend $500 scholarships to five other moms who entered "Mom's Next Move" to take the first step in their journey toward their dream careers.
