Lights & Laser Show Comes to Niagara of the West
You may have checked a day trip to Shoshone Falls off your "Idaho Bucket List" but we guarantee you've never seen the falls like this!
Standing 45 feet higher than the most famous waterfalls in North America, Shoshone Falls in Twin is deserving of the nickname "Niagra of the West." Seeing the Snake River pour over the 212 foot high, 1,000-foot wide rim is breathtaking no matter when you go see it, but this May, Idahoans have a chance to experience something that's unlike anything you've seen before.
Piggy backing off the success of last year's inaugural event, Southern Idaho Tourism is bringing back the Light & Laser show for year two! For three evenings in May, Shoshone Falls will be illuminated with hundreds of multicolored lights and lasers in a show designed to celebrate the Snake River's beauty.
If you're planning on making the drive from the Treasure Valley for the spectacular in person, make sure that you have Monday, April 1 marked on your calendar. That's when tickets go on sale and tickets for each evening are limited to 1,500 to make sure that everyone can enjoy a great event. VIP viewing platform tickets will run $50 while general admission ticket prices vary by age. Kids 5 and younger are free, kids 6-12 are $6 and general admission tickets for teens and adults are $12. This year's show is scheduled for May 15-18!
The light show won't start until after dark, but there will be plenty of activities for the family, music and food trucks before the show! Check out this quick clip from last year's show and then bookmark the information page HERE so that you don't miss out when tickets go on sale April 1st!
