To the person who isn't afraid to go the "extra mile",

That "extra mile we're talking about... well, it's probably more appropriate to say it's more like 30 feet. What am I talking about?

Your grocery cart (or if you're from the south, your "buggy").

And look, I get it - I think we've all been there at one point or another.

You're just getting out of work and you remember you need to stop at the store for whatever reason. Once you make it to your grocery store: Albertsons, Fred Meyer, Winco, etc. You're ready to get in and then get out. You don't waste time exploring every aisle and you certainly don't want to wait in the longest checkout line.

Once you get back to the parking lot with your cart of groceries, you unload everything and then it's time to make a crucial decision:

Do you knock off a whopping 90 seconds of time of your time to get home by leaving the cart next to your car somewhere?

Do you close the doors of your vehicle and walk your cart over to the corral?

For a lot of people, this seems to be a challenge but for those who don't view it as such... you're taking the extra step.

I know you're tired, I know you didn't get much sleep the night before, and I certainly can relate to anyone who's asked to make one extra stop on the way home from a day of grinding at the office. Heck, then you have the whole task of actually putting away the groceries you purchased at the store after all of that.

Despite everything, you suck it up and take the extra 45 or so seconds to walk your grocery cart 30 feet back to the corral.

Sure, to some it's 30 feet... but for a lot of people (especially the store workers), you're going the extra mile.
