The drug problems today are vastly different from the drug issues of the past. As the popular saying goes, "This ain't your granny's weed."

Drugs are more dangerous today than they've ever been

With as many anti-drug campaigns we've seen in our country, you would think many of us would do everything we can to be around drugs. Unfortunately, Idaho has been home to pretty serious drug busts.

Many believe marijuana to be the "gateway drug" to much harder drugs and some in the Treasure Valley even blame Oregon's legalization law as a cause for Idaho's drug problem.

Regardless of what the source of the issue is, our law enforcement is on the prowl and ready to put a stop to the drug trafficking taking place in the Treasure Valley.

We searched and sifted through several cases, looking for the most expensive drug busts to ever go down in Idaho. We even found one drug bust that resulted in drugs with a street value between $1 million and $2 million being taken off the streets.

Another case we found was Idaho's largest pot bust made by Idaho State Police, who found the goods in a massive truck back in 2019.

Do you remember any of these drug busts?

One of those busts involved a suspect trying to sell their drugs on Facebook Live and social media - we can't make that up. Even scarier, the person was also selling firearms but thankfully, police caught on quickly and brought them to justice.
