Call It the Luck of the Irish! Here’s When the Shamrock Shake Returns to Boise
Seasonal beverages are the best, aren't they? Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Eggnog Chai. Peppermint Mocha. Sadly, finding those drinks is near impossible by early February. If you miss them, turn that frown upside down! St. Patty's Day is upon us!
And so is the return of one beloved McDonald's sweet treat, the Shamrock Shake! It's crazy to think that this creamy, green shake has been around for 51 years. According to the USA Today, it makes it triumphant return to Treasure Valley McDonald's locations on the day after Valentine's Day, Monday, February 15! That's four full days earlier than in 2020.
If you wait all year for the minty goodness to return to McDonald's, there's a bonus reason to celebrate. Introduced in 2020 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Shamrock Shake, it's companion, the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry, will be back that day as well.
McDonald's isn't the only place rolling out the green treats early this year. Dairy Queen recently introduced their Mint Chip Shake. The new spin on their Mint Shake mixes their classic vanilla soft serve with Creme de Menthe and chocolate cone coating. It's topped off with a dollop of whipped creme. These yummy shakes are available at participating DQ locations around the Treasure Valley! If you're in Southeast Boise, go see our friends at the location on Boise Ave. They're the best!
