I predict one of two things will happen when we come out on the other side of this COVID-19 pandemic.

Scenario 1: We're all going to have to hit the gym and go on strict diets, because we've eaten our weight in spaghetti and macaroni in cheese during self isolation. Seriously. You've been to Albertsons, right? Pasta. Gone. Spaghetti sauce. Gone. Name brand macaroni? Mostly gone. (We all know that Kraft's shaped macaroni is the best but that's all gone except for Easy Mac. If you want something in the blue box, we're getting boring tubes.)

Scenario 2: We're going to be the fittest humans alive because exercise is one of the only things keeping us sane right now. Luckily, we've got a great tail system and the Boise Greenbelt to make this weird time just a little bit easier. However, it's supposed to rain for three days next week so working out outside might not be a great option.

That's exactly why we asked which local gyms were offering online workout classes while they're closed. I'm actually pretty excited to know about all of these options because I'm one of the most uncoordinated humans alive. There's a lot of great classes on the schedule at Axiom that I would love to try but I'm too embarrassed to try in a group setting because I have no sense of rhythm!

Camp Rhino

Camp Rhino's put together a 21 day free online challenge for anyone who'd like to give them a shot. The challenge involves body-weight only and minimal equipment. You can sign-up for it HERE.

Treasure Valley YMCA

I know two superstar women who teach at the Y.  They teach at different locations, but both of them reached out to let me know the Y's doing Zoom based classes during the COVID-19 disruption. Each Treasure Valley YMCA has a "Group Ex" Facebook group set up. You can click the events tab within the group for more details about the class and to grab the Zoom link for when it goes live.

Pivot Lifestyle + Fitness

Boise's golden girl, Kristin Armstrong and her team at Pivot are offering classes through Facebook Live on their page.

Planet Fitness

Planet gets the award for the cutest name for their online workouts. They're calling them "work-ins" and they stream on their Facebook page daily at 5 p.m. If you miss one, it's available for playback whenever you'd like to watch!

The Phoenix

I actually learned about this group through a Cyclegiving ride they did at Cyclebar. They're a supportive, physically active community for individuals who are recovering from a substance use disorder. Normally they're into everything from CrossFit and climbing, to hiking, running, cycling and yoga. They're offering their classes through this link.

Nampa Rec Center

Nampa Rec Center kicked off their first virtual classes on Friday and have a full schedule of Facebook Live classes happening on weekdays through March 30. There's two every morning, one at 9 and one at 10. You can see the schedule and watch HERE.

Orangetheory Fitness

OTF members can access at home workouts through the app, but if you're not a member and want to give it a shot they've also got them posted on their YouTube page.
