Boise Couple Appearing on TLC’s ‘Seeking Sister Wife’
The Bachelor. The Bachelorette. Survivor. Naked and Afraid. The Apprentice. American Ninja Warrior. All reality TV shows that folks from our neck of Idaho have appeared on. This show? Well, it's a little bit different.
Last night, a post on Facebook tipped us off that a Boise couple is appearing on the newest season of TLC's reality show Seeking Sister Wife. The show is now in it's third season. According to its description on TLC's website the show gives viewers the opportunity to "Explore the lives of four families all in various phases of seeking, dating or transitioning a new sister wife into their lives. They will date online, date in person and explore the ins and outs of incorporating a new wife into their plural families."
The new season, which premiered on Monday night, introduces us to the Joneses, Tosha and Sidian, who run a small graphic design company out of their home in Boise. After four years together, Tosha calls herself Sidian's wife even though they're not legally married. Part of the reason they never tied the knot? Sidian was already married when the two of them met on the job. He didn't discourage her crush on him because he and his wife were actually looking for a second wife.

Sidian's exposure to polygamy came through a friend who was in a polygamist relationship. In Monday night's premiere, he explained that the idea of polygamy appealed to him because it gave households an abundance of support and understanding from additional adults if someone was working through a tough time.
Originally, the arrangement worked out great but as you can tell by this clip, the honeymoon period didn't last long.
We'll be honest, we can't wrap our minds around the lifestyle. Maybe that's because the pandemic really tested our patience spending 24/7 with the one spouse we were already married to and we can't imagine trying to manage more than one relationship like that. But, we're interested to see how things play out for this unique Boise family. (Yes, they're really from Boise. If you watch the season premiere, they show photos from a date night at Solid and you can see the Slow by Slow logo in the background.)
Tosha's even pretty active on Instagram. If you want to follow along with her personal account between episodes you can follow her by clicking HERE. Seeking Sister Wife airs new episodes Monday on TLC at 6 p.m. MT.
