Boise Car Wash Offers FREE Car Washes for Veterans and Active Duty Military

You can admit it.  Getting out of bed and out the door this morning was a trip on the struggle bus.

It's rainy.  It's cold.  It's grey and all you want to do is be done with the work week so you can exhale, enjoy some burgers and dogs and relax over the three day weekend.  We get it and are certainly looking forward to the long weekend as well, but it's important to remember that Memorial Day isn't just another day off from work.  It gives us the opportunity to remember those who died in active military service.

Many businesses also use Memorial Day as a way to show their appreciation for the veterans and active duty military personnel who chose to put themselves in danger to protect our country.  One of those businesses is J's Hand Car Wash on Chinden.  According to Idaho News, they'll be offering free car washes to veterans and those on active duty, rain or shine.  They'll be offered from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on Memorial Day, May 27.

Texas de Brazil: The Brazilian steakhouse just opened in The Village at Meridian. According to RestaurantNews.com, veterans and active-duty military personnel with their military IDs can save 50% off dinner, with an additional 20% off for up to eight of their family members or friends. The promotion runs Memorial Day through Wednesday, May 29.

Sherwin Williams Paints: May is also Military Appreciation month. To mark the occasion and say "thank you to our military personnel," Sherwin Williams will give a 10% off military discount to those currently serving, who are a reservist or have served in the military. The offer is also available to the spouse of those listed above.  To receive the paints and stains discount, you must have a Military ID on you.

Silverwood Theme Park: The forecast in Northern Idaho is a little soggy as well, but should things decide to dry out it may be worth the weekend road trip to Silverwood's American Heroes Weekend! Military personnel, veterans, police offers and firefighters with proper receive FREE admission May 25-27! Discounted rates are also available to their immediate family members.
