LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union.

Both Amy and her husband, Adrian, are United States Army veterans. The two of them met in the military 17 years ago this week and married a few years later. On Veterans' Day 2020, a day meant to celebrate the bravery and sacrifice of people exactly like them, the family suffered and absolutely unimaginable loss. While driving to work, Adrian's car was struck head-on by a driver who crossed the centerline. He died in the accident.

Rachel's daughter does junior rodeo with one of Amy's young daughters and the accident has weighed heavy on her heart since it happened. She told us this is actually the second time that Amy's become a widow. Her first husband died in war. Adrian and Amy were getting ready to move into a new home with their three kids at the time of the accident. On top of grieving the loss of an incredible husband and father, Amy's now in the process of making the move.

She's been surrounded by a lot of love from the community, but now that family is starting to leave and go home, things are feeling really heavy. That's why we loaded one of our elves, Jaci, into the Treasure Valley Subaru Delivery Sleigh to surprise her with something to help make the day to day a little easier.  (Click the play button where you see the little birdies to hear it!)
