Let's be honest, working out and eating well can be tough, especially when you're going it alone.  That's why St. Luke's FitOne wants to be your buddy and help keep you motivated to lose weight and get moving!

Sure, you may be familiar with the name FitOne from the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon every fall, but they also host the annual St. Luke's FitOne $25,000 Weight Loss Challenge! Whether you have 10 pounds or 100 pounds to lose, the weight loss challenge is for you.  It's a program that runs from October 21, 2017 - September 21, 2018 and challenges participants to lose a minimum of 7% of their body weight through healthy eating and an active lifestyle.  Those who reach that benchmark by the FitOne Healthy Living Expo next year will receive their share of the $25,000 cash pool!

Now in its 9th year, St. Luke's has made some MAJOR upgrades to the program and I had the chance to catch up with Lisa Gonser, the Senior Wellness Coordination for St. Luke's Occupational Health & Well-being about what participants can expect from this year's program. (I have to admit the complimentary Axiom "class pass" is pretty darn cool if you don't have your own gym membership and working out with a group is always more fun!) Sure cash and other prizes like a free entry into the 2018 FitOne 5K are cool, but the biggest prize is how amazing you'll feel because of your weight loss! Signing up for the challenge is easy! Just click HERE to get started.  And just a reminder, you'll need to attend all of the required weigh-ins to compete for the cash prizes. The first ones happen this weekend in Meridian and Mountain Home.  If you want a before photo (because a year from now, you'll barely recognize yourself in that photo) make plans to attend the weigh-in at the West Ada School District Office at 1303 E. Central Drive in Meridian.  It's Saturday, October 21st from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. and 107.9 LITE-FM will be there to take those before photos for you!
