Huge Convoy Makes a Quick Stop in Boise Before Traveling to DC

The people of Boise showed their support for a truck convoy protest that will be taking truckers to Washington DC.

Thankfully, we are not in a lockdown anymore, and all the businesses that survived are up and operational. Even the CDC has lifted the mask mandates. So why is Idaho still in a state of emergency? Remember last year when the legislature failed to curb the governor's hold on his emergency powers? Two legislators have introduced legislation that would end Idaho's state of emergency, reports the Idaho Capital Sun.  


Idahoans across the state have shared their concerns over the continued use of emergency powers on talk radio and social media. Hopefully, the country has seen the last of the deadly Covid virus. The medical community now has three vaccines plus a pill that can be given to folks who show early virus symptoms.  

Security Slams Boise State Students to Ground After Win

History was made at ExtraMile Arena on the night of Tuesday, March 1st. When you think of the arena--you may think of your favorite concerts or acts. No, a sell out crowd didn't set a record. The Boise State men's basketball team did. One might think that a major celebration was in order. Clearly, some security folks had a different idea.

The Idaho Capital Sun says that Idaho National Guardsmen are still being used to augment healthcare facilities within the state. The labor shortage was so dire that out-of-state contract healthcare workers were brought in to care for the sick.  

Critics of the continued use of emergency powers say that the governor has too much control over the other two branches of government. Republicans running against him in the May Primary cite his use of emergency powers as one of the reasons why they seek to replace him.
