These Are the Top 15 School Districts in Idaho for 2019-2020

Parents, let's be honest.  It feels good to say that your child goes to one of the best schools in the state, right? 

Heck, even if you don't have any kids, it feels good to say that your alma mater is one of the best. I still smile every time I see a post on Facebook talking about how my high school back in Ohio continues to rank very, very high.

So where does your child's school district or your alma mater's district rank for 2019-2020? Niche.com weighted different factors to come up with the following list of rankings for school districts in Idaho.  The Academic Grade looking at state assessment proficiency, SAT/ACT scores and survey responses on academics from students and parents was weighted most heavily accounting for 50% of the total Niche score.  They also looked teacher quality, culture & diversity, parent/student experience surveys, health & safety, resources & facilities, clubs & activities and sports. When all the numbers were crunched, these districts were named the Top 15 in Idaho.

1. McCall-Donnelly School District - Overall Niche Grade: A
2. Blaine County School District - Overall Niche Grade: A-
3. Boise Independent School District - Overall Niche Grade: A-
4. Nezperce Joint School District - Overall Niche Grade: A-
5. Moscow School District - Overall Niche Grade: A-
6. Pocatello School District - Overall Niche Grade: A-
7. Cottonwood Joint School District - Overall Niche Grade: A-
8. Compass Public Charter School - Overall Niche Grade: B+
9. Genesee Joint School District - Overall Niche Grade: B+
10. West Ada School District - Overall Niche Grade: B+
11. Troy School District - Overall Niche Grade: B+
12. Madison School District - Overall Niche Grade: B+
13. South Lemhi School District - Overall Niche Grade: B+
14. Upper Carmen Public Charter School - Overall Niche Grade: B+
15. West Side Joint School District - Overall Niche Grade: B+

What about our Canyon County schools? Vallivue ranked #27 with a B overall Niche grade. Nampa (C+) and Caldwell (C-) did not make the Top 35 list Niche created.
