If you were awake and on the road early this morning, you may have got stuck behind a caravan of four HUGE trucks making its way from Nampa to Downtown Boise this morning.  What exactly was it carrying?

According to Channel 6, those trucks started making their way from Image National, a sign making company in Nampa, to Boise State around 5:30 a.m.  They were hauling four new signs that will make the name change for the basketball and concert venue official. Around 1 p.m. today, Taco Bell Arena will officially become ExtraMile Arena.

ExtraMile Convenience Stores, a partnership between Jacksons Food Stores and Chevron, won the 15-year, $8.4 million naming rights agreement in May. Over the next few months, you'll see 22 Jacksons Food Stores currently operating at Chevron stations re-brand themselves as ExtraMile. The first conversion should be finished in Caldwell by early October.

After trucking the new illuminated ExtraMile signs to the Boise State campus, Image National will assemble them and hoist the above all four entrances to the venue.  The signs measure 8'x43' and weigh about 3000 pounds.  Per a press release from the venue, they're expected to be in place by 1 p.m. today for anyone who wants to come down and check out the new look. Both the Men's and Women's Bronco Basketball teams will be part of the unveiling festivities.

Prior to becoming Taco Bell Arena in 2003, the venue when by the name as the BSU Pavilion.
