Meridian Loses a BBQ Restaurant

If you love getting messy with barbecue sauce all over your hands you're probably not going to like to hear that a Meridian BBQ restaurant just closed their doors. We got word from the Idaho Statesman that Famous Dave's restaurant on Eagle Road in Meridian has closed.

The establishment has also been removed from the corporate website, which means this location is most likely done for good. The local phone number has been disconnected, let's just hope the employees got some kind of warning before losing their jobs.

There are close to 150 Famous Dave's locations around the country, but only one left in the state of Idaho. That location is in Idaho Falls, traveling four hours for BBQ seems excessive considering we do have local BBQ here in the Treasure Valley that tastes amazing. Including a new BBQ joint (Big Daddy's BBQ) on Fairview Ave. in Boise that just opened their doors last month.
