Twin Falls Update on Canyon Trail Junction and Chobani Wellness Park
Last year, one of the most popular recreational parks (or at least the parking lot) in Twin Falls was closed so major upgrades could be made. The Canyon Trail Junction used to be a few parking stalls, a big dirt lot, and a few porta-potties.
Now, the dirt lot is transforming into a wellness park and gathering area, and there’s a real/permanent bathroom on site. The Twin Falls Parks and Recreation just released an update on the park progress, along with a few pictures.

The original request for bids on the Canyon Trail Junction Park included project plans for a parking lot, restroom, pavilion, landscaping, synthetic turf, and fitness equipment. KMVT shared a video showing an impressive plan for the east section of the park, which is set to be an ‘Adult Obstacle Course’, that looks more like an American Ninja Warrior course than a public wellness park. When the area was closed in September of 2025, the plan was to create an area where people could access the Canyon Rim Trail or just gather in a nice location.
Twin Falls Parks & Rec also shared details about the new tennis courts and pickleball courts at Harmon Park, and the resurfacing of the tennis courts at CSI in the post on social media.
When the Canyon Trail Junction reopens, it will provide Canyon Rim Trail access to the Evel Knievel Jump Site, Pillar Falls Trail, and the Shoshone Falls Park.
