Kids across the Gem State will take to the streets this Tuesday to trick-or-treat and hopefully, they will all get to bring home full pillow bags of candy. A study recently revealed that living in Idaho is a big reason why.

Home to one of the top cities in America for trick-or-treaters

Idaho is known for some pretty incredible things already: the food, scenery, amazing people. But, in case you weren't aware, the state of Idaho is also one of the best places for trick-or-treaters.

Back in 2017, it was Nampa that held the title of the best city in Idaho to trick-or-treat in according to a study at the time, and Nampa took home that title again in 2019.

Now, there's a new trick-or-treating champ, and one that the people of the Treasure Valley should be proud of. Not only is this city the best place in Idaho to trick-or-treat, but it's also the 33rd-best city in the entire country.

You guessed it: Boise.

According to WalletHub, a whopping $12.2 billion dollars is spent by the 73% of households that celebrate Halloween. They used "20 key metrics" including "costume stores per capita to share of potential trick-or-treat stops."

The top three cities in the country according to their study are New York City (1), Las Vegas (2), and Los Angeles (3).

We kind of wish that they would break down each of the 20 key metrics but hey, we'll take it. Besides, nobody does Halloween quite like Boise and if you don't believe us, just check out the amazing decorations that go down on Harrison Blvd. every year.
