The Zika virus is running rampant in hotter climates, and now it's officially come to Idaho.

Idaho state health officials say an Idaho woman who traveled to Mexico contracted the virus and has been diagnosed as infected. We're being told the woman is over 60 years old, lives in northern Idaho, is showing symptoms of the virus but does not currently require hospitalization.

Health officials wanted to make it clear that you cannot catch the Zika virus through casual contact. It is most commonly contracted via mosquitoes.

Only one in five people infected with the virus show symptoms.
