Season 12 of "Naked and Afraid' aired last Sunday night and featured a familiar face. Holly Moss of McCall, Idaho is representing the Gem State by tackling the Smokey Mountains of Georgia "naked and afraid."

“I came into it without a ton of confidence as a survivalist," said Moss. "I have no formal training." She told Idaho News 6, growing up in McCall was an advantage for her. "For example like fire building is like second nature to me. It is just what we do up there to stay warm, but that is a survival skill.”

Moss isn't the only Idaho native to appear on the show. Star Torres and Tony Wheeler from Pocatello were featured in season 10 and were the first couple to compete together on Naked Afraid!

Growing up in Idaho might actually just be a part of the ideal qualifications for a contestant on a survivalist reality show. Similarly last year, Jordan Jones, an Athol, Idaho native competed on the History Channel’s reality television show “Alone" and he won $500,000 by outlasting 9 other contestants living near Canada’s Great Slave Lake for 7 days.  Boise native Ben Driebergen, won $1 million on “Survivor”  back in 2017 and also reappeared on “Survivor: Winners at War” in 2020.

You can watch Holly compete on season 12 of Naked and Afraid every Sunday at 6pm on the Discovery Channel. You can also stream the show on Discovery Plus.
