Idaho License Plates by County

I see you 3L....but where are you from!?!?!?!

When I first moved to Idaho from California, one of my biggest questions was, 'why do the license plates have certain letters and numbers at the beginning?'

Well, I later discovered that the license plates have certain county designations. For example 1A is for Ada County, 2C for Canyon County --- those are the ones we usually see here in the Treasure Valley.

But do you ever look at some vehicles and just wonder, what part of Idaho is that from? It drives my crazy not knowing!!!
