Early Voting Took 8 Minutes

It won't turn out this way for everyone, but my early voting experience was so quick I couldn't believe it. I was in and out in no time.  If you're headed out to the polls today, you've got several locations to choose from in Ada and Canyon Counties, along with that convenient food truck voting option.

From parking my car to finishing my ballot, the early voting process took me all of 8 minutes.

If you can make it to a polling location in the middle of the morning or early to mid-afternoon and it's not the final day of early voting, the lines are usually pretty short and that was the case for me.  If you go right when the polls open, or at lunch, or when they're about to close, it can take longer.  I knew exactly who and what I was voting for before I walked in, and once I was there it was just a matter of punching a couple of buttons.  Easy breezy.

Voting is important and we should do it even if it's not easy.  But if we can cast a ballot and still have time to get to the grocery store before heading back to work, it makes the process a little more rewarding.  I think the uncertainty about how long it will take keeps some people from attempting it, but just do it!  You will be fine, and it feels good to be part of the process.

As long as you're registered to vote, you can show up at any early voting location in the county where you live.  Just don't forget your ID.

October 31: Eagle Albertsons
November 1: Borah Post Office
November 2: Borah Post Office

In Ada County, you can vote at these locations through November 2, including this Saturday:

Ada County elections office, 400 N. Benjamin Lane in Boise

Boise City Hall, 150 N. Capitol Blvd.

Meridian City Hall, 33 E. Broadway Ave.

If you don't vote early, the last opportunity will be on election day Tuesday, November 6th. Go get that sticker.
