My skates are in my trunk, just waiting to be laced up and hit the ice! We're just a few short weeks away from snapping selfies at Canyon County's most impressive Christmas lights display.

Over the years, the spectacle along Indian Creek in Caldwell has gotten larger and larger. In 2020, over 1,000,000 lights will provide smiles and joy along six blocks of Downtown Caldwell. Normally, the Winter Wonderland festival takes place on a single night where they flip the switch and light the creek. Last year, that special moment attracted a crowd of about 15,000 people.

In 2020, crowds of that size are discouraged so rather than having one giant "flip the switch" moment, our friends at Destination Caldwell are splitting up the fun over three evenings, Friday, November 20-Saturday, November 22. Each evening guests can look forward to ice skating on Idaho's only ice ribbon, live music from carolers, treats from food trucks and vendors and a visit with the big man in red!

That's right, Santa and his elves have been working hard in the workshop to design a special socially distancing sleigh where kids will get to sit shotgun and take a photo with Santa and Mrs. Clause who will be safely seated in the backseat behind a plexiglass divider. It'll be set-up for photos at the Train Depot.

Guests are encouraged to wear face coverings and gloves while enjoy the Winter Wonderland Festival. Quite frankly, looking at the chilly weather that's headed our way you would probably want to do that for warmth alone! The plaza has an extensive safety plan in place, including sanitization measures and capacity limits for the Ice Ribbon. You can read more about them HERE.

We're so proud to be one of the sponsors for a community event bringing so much joy to the Canyon County! If you happen to visit on Friday, November 20! Make sure you look for us and say hi!
