5 Places Near Boise Where You Can Buy Hot Cocoa Bombs

I started talking about hot cocoa bombs this afternoon and was SHOCKED that Marco wasn't familiar with the trendiest stocking stuffer this holiday season! 

I made the mistake of trying to explain these delicious gifts in words instead of with a video. "So you remember those Nestle Wonder Balls with the candy inside?" Blank stare, so I dragged him into my office to watch a video of the magic that is a hot cocoa bomb. Basically, they're a big chocolate sphere packed with hot cocoa mix, marshmallows and other treats. When you pour warm milk over them, they explode! Videos of these yummy creations have racked up millions of views on TikTok.

You might be familiar with them, but did you know that the were actually invented in Boise?! Eric Torres Garcia, a 2018 BSU graduate, posted a video of his alternative to ordinary, boring hot cocoa mix on TikTok, it got 1.7 million views, led to 10.5K subscribers and sold over 750 units in just 10 hours! He founded his company, Cocoa Bombs LLC in December 2019 with just $15 and has sold over $10,000 worth of products!

A special Christmas elf told us that Rachel's been cranking out hot cocoa bombs while staying home to care for her daughter who's currently going through chemotherapy treatments.
