Hotel rooms under a hundred bucks per night are almost impossible to find in Boise right now, and, in fact, two hundred seems a little more like it. People who visit the Treasure Valley really want to be here.

When you finally get to the hotel after a long day of travel, the last thing you want is to come face-to-face with rudeness front desk. Unfriendly staff frustrates travelers the most, but it's probably not the only hotel pet peeve you've experienced traveling around Idaho.

If you spend an evening in a motel or hotel in Idaho and find it to be a little too dirty for your liking, too bad. They're allowed to be that way.

Over the last few weeks, we've been following the influx of tourists who are coming for the total eclipse on Monday. Another result of the unusual demand? Hotel prices are insane!

Know someone who just got on the eclipse bandwagon, and are now trying to find a hotel to stay in here in Boise or across Idaho?  There are rooms available, but they're going to cost big money.

The August 21st total solar eclipse is almost here. Idaho is right in the pathway for optimal viewing, so it's probably no surprise that searches for Idaho hotels are way up.

Do you ever wonder how AAA rates hotels and restaurants?  I'm use ratings to help choose hotels when I travel, and loved getting a look at the process AAA uses.

We might be great at keeping the sheets washed and clean at our own houses, but that little detail is beyond our control when we stay at a hotel.  Surely the housekeeping staff is washing the sheets after each guest, right?  Not always.  Ew.

Maybe it's being at the top of all these "best state, best cities, best place to move" lists, but more people are choosing to visit Idaho which is great news for our economy.

I took my son to Portland this weekend (a gift I had given him for Christmas) to see the Trailblazers play.  We had a great hotel and it made me realize I have 3 rules for hotels.
