Local Business Raises Over $10K for Boise Police Officers
Two Boise Police Officers who were shot in the line of duty are getting a huge Thanksgiving surprise from a local business in Mountain Home!
According to KTVB, Brie Thomason, the co-owner of Brie'sta Coffee Company in Mountain Home organized "Drive Thru to Support Blue" to raise funds for Corporal Kevin Holtry and Corporal Chris Davis as they continue their recovery from wounds sustained in a shootout with a suspect on the Boise Bench. On Saturday, the coffee shop donated 100% of their proceeds to the officers. It's a cause close to Thomason's heart, as her husband is a former officer himself.
They're continuing to count the final amount of funds raised, but as of Sunday morning, they raised over $10,000.
Nearby Cheeky's Boutique also donated proceeds from their mobile booth to the officers and our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union stepped up with a $1500 donation!
