A jogger on the 8th street connection in the Boise Foothills was injured Friday night when a car ran over him and then he was choked by the driver.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office quickly arrived at the scene when a young man was struck by a vehicle.  The young man then confronted the driver and a fight broke out.  He was running on the northbound lane of 8th street where the road turns into dirt just after 11:30 p.m. when he was suddenly sideswiped by a car.

Paramedics took the man to the hospital and fortunately none of his injures look to be life threatening.

The jogger said the driver got out of the car and started choking him.  The jogger tried to use pepper spray but it didn't work because it was so windy.  After the quick fight, the driver got back into his vehicle and took off.  Officials are investigating!
