Two I-84 Closures Will Impact Drivers This Weekend

Traffic in the Treasure Valley has become normal. With a metro booming the way that we have experienced herein the Boise area, roads can only keep up with the volume of cars so much.

Of course, everyone has an opinion on the construction here.

Consider this your warning: closures are coming to I-84...the only highway that connects Boise to Nampa and Caldwell.

The closures include:

• Exit 42: Ten Mile Interchange
  • This will impact and close the westbound off-ramp
• Exit 38: Garrity Interchange
  • This will impact and close the westbound on-ramp

Ready for a little traffic on the WEEKEND, Treasure Valley!?

Idaho Transportation Department put out a release to the public, which you can see below along with visuals:

While everyone can breathe a sigh of relief that these Interstate ramps are not going to be closed during the work week, it's fair to say that the Treasure Valley has grown enough in recent years that even on the weekends, this is going to have an impact.

Most times, crews from the Idaho Transportation Department will do these types of closures in the overnight hours, but unfortunately, this project is going to need more time.

Headed out and about to the Nampa / Meridian area this weekend? Make plans to give yourself some extra time OR just say off of I-84 if you can!
