Are you fed up of getting random spam calls to your phone at obscene hours?

Tired of robots and telemarketers bothering you while you're at home with family?

Luckily, someone is finally doing something about it.

Who's stepping in to save us from the inevitable robocall takeover here in Idaho?

Wow. You sound really upset. Anyways.

Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador has announced the second phase of his "Operation Robocall Roundup." Which is exactly what it sounds like: A taskforce focusing on fighting back against robocalls from four major voice providers. Labrador explains:

Idahoans are frustrated with scammers swindling families by pretending to be the IRS, Social Security or any other legitimate entity. My Consumer Protection Division works hard to educate people on how to avoid scams, but we need to hold telecom providers accountable for allowing that illegal traffic.

During the previous phase of "Operation Crush The Robocallers Into Oblivion" (we're working on a cooler name), 13 major companies got popped from the FCC's Robocall Mitigation Database. Here's to hoping we can eliminate more in round two, because I'm sick and tired of these clowns calling me while I'm trying to watch Is It Cake?

Okay, so, what exactly happens when the robots win and take over all of humanity? You know, just in case.

We're not saying it's going to happen, but wouldn't you rather be prepared just in case it did? Just imagine a world where you see the robacolypse coming, and you did absolutely nothing to get ready for it.

That seems silly.
