One Of Idaho's Creepiest Abandoned Properties Is A Mystery

26There is something equally fascinating and sad about abandoned buildings. Where there was once a thriving business or family, there is now a shell of what remained. Sometimes an abandoned building is deserted and we never find out the reason why.

A mysterious abandoned house in Owyhee County

In a video posted to YouTube by the channel Explore Abandoned America, we see a house that some would call creepy but others might call it cool or interesting. What's really awesome about the footage is that the channel does not disclose the location. All that we know is the property is in Owyhee County. While we like to think this is for "creepy-ish" reasons, it's actually to protect it from being a target for vandals. When responding to a compliment about the property being nice, the channel responded:

And not vandalized! That is why I am not giving the exact location. Respecting the land owner and helping to preserve the buildings from those who would vandalize it.

Unless you recognize the home from a past random visit, not knowing where the house is located adds to the mystery. Who lived there when it wasn't abandoned? Why did it become abandoned? Is the abandoned property haunted? Imagine exploring this property at night... it looks like it would be the stuff of nightmares, especially with the other structures on the property.
