Why Is There A Bell Hanging In This Idaho WinCo?
It's easy to get wrapped up in everyday life, isn't it? Think about how many things we expect ourselves to keep up with daily (AKA how often we "adult") -- remembering to pay the bills, meetings at work, the number of passwords in our lives, etc.
Sometimes, you just have to stop and smell the roses. You never know what you'll notice.
Why Is There A Bell Hanging In The Grocery Store?
If you're like some of us, your first "back-to-human duty" after work is the grocery store. You know how it goes: You text or call your spouse to let them know you're on the way out, and they ask you to pick up some milk, eggs, or everything. Hey, it happens!

The other day, I was on one of those very trips when I overheard a shopper at the checkout asking about a "bell hanging from the ceiling" at the downtown WinCo.
I didn't get to hear the cashier's response nor did I feel it would be appropriate for me to butt in their convo as I'm literally just walking into the store.
But, me being me, I had to know - where is this bell at... and what is it for?
WinCo Has A Bell Hanging From The Ceiling
As you can imagine, my hunt for this mysterious bell didn't take long, but once I came across it, it almost made immediate sense.
Do you see it? Take a closer look!
If you're like me, you probably put together that the bell is for safety reasons, and when we had our turn at the self-checkout, the employee confirmed our suspicions. Anytime their forklift or any other large vehicle comes out from the back, it hits the bell, alerting those in the area to be on the lookout.
So, the next time you find yourself on the go, take a moment to stop and smell the roses. You never know what you might notice!
