Child Predator In Idaho Finally Caught! What You Need To Know…
One of the biggest fears for parents is not being able to protect their children. It's a heartbreaking realization when you find out your child has been violated or harmed. As a parent, you must not only raise a child but protect them.
Nampa police need your help protecting the kids
Your one job as a parent is to protect your kids and at the time of this publishing, Nampa police are looking for a suspect that could have threatened that safety and you not know it. It can be hard to keep up with what your kids are doing online, especially with how many apps are available on phones.
According to a post from Nampa police:
The Nampa Police Department is concerned there are children in our community that have had online conversations with 20-year-old Austin R. Holbrook from Kennewick, Washington, pictured here.
If your child has been using the internet here in the Treasure Valley, you may want to comb through some of their messages or texts to confirm that they haven't been interacting with Holbrook.
It's a scary realization for parents, especially for this author who has three children under the age of six. You never know what's lurking around the corners of the internet and unfortunately, this particular situation contributes to the concerns of parents as technology continues to improve.
It's difficult to imagine what horrors your child can encounter inside newer chat apps to meet with strangers. Unfortunately, with the advent of technology, it's getting more and more difficult to determine who or what is a threat and what is not.
