Idaho’s Top Easter Candy Revealed
While we were shopping at The Village the other night, I couldn't help but notice one lonely display at It's Sugar.
On Thursday night, you would've expected to see the wall of Peeps getting a lot of action as parents shopped for last minute bunny supplies. Despite all the unique flavors, like pancakes and syrup, people kept walking past the display like it wasn't even there. Which goes back to a question that I've been asking for years "Does anyone actually like Peeps?"
According a new survey by Retail Me Not, when they approached actual shoppers and asked if they liked Peeps, 73% of respondents flat out said "no." During the nation wide survey, they discovered that Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Eggs were the most popular Easter candy of 2019, closely followed by the more traditional Cadbury Eggs and Jelly Beans.
So which Easter Candy do Idahoans hope to find in their basket today?
Cadbury Eggs!
Now the question is, how much did you spend on them this year? Apparently, the average American spent at least $50 on Easter candy this year. As someone who doesn't have kids to put together a basket for, I'll wait until tomorrow when everything's on sale to stock up!
