It might be called a "neighborhood picnic," but when 40,000 of your neighbors and their friends show up it becomes a city wide legend!

The Hyde Park Street Fair is entering it's 37th year.  It started as with just a few merchants selling hippie art and crafts, while local musicians played live music on 13th Street in 1979.

Since then, it's grown and expanded into Camel's Back Park. While you'll still see tie-dye clothing everywhere, you can find a lot more at the street fair in 2016!  This organizers from the North End Neighborhood Association expect over 120 vendors showing arts and crafts, nonprofit groups, food, beer and wine. You can also expect to see belly dancers, hula hoopers and face painters making their way through the park during the three day event.

Live music roars on two stages beginning Friday evening at 5 p.m.  19 acts take the main stage, while 30 are scheduled for the secondary stage.

If you've never been to the Hyde Park Street Fair or you are new to the Treasure Valley, it's really something that you have to see for yourself!
