If you've ever been to the Great Dolphin Dunk at Roaring Springs, you've gotten to witness first hand the amazing things this organization does for our community. This takes that mission to a whole new level.

Closing schools all over the Treasure Valley to prevent the spread of COVID-19 isn't as easy as it seems. Yes, from a public health safety stand point it's the responsible thing to do. Unfortunately, we have many students who are food insecure. The sad reality is that sometimes the lunch they get through their school's free and reduced lunch program is the only full meal they get to enjoy over the course of a day.

That's why the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ada County are stepping up to fill that gap. They're offering any child ages 1-18 FREE grab-and-go meals, on weekdays between the hours of 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Both breakfast and lunch will be available. Kids do not need to be club members or enrolled in a free and reduced lunch program though their school. They do, however, need to be present with parents who come by to grab them.

The meals can be picked up at the following locations:

Riverfront Park in Garden City (next to Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County)

E 42nd St., Garden City

Meridian Elementary School

1035 NW 1st St., Meridian

Boys & Girls Clubs of Nampa

316 Stampede Drive, Nampa

Central District Health has recommended the clubs stay open for as long as possible to help covering childcare while school's out. That primarily includes families where the parents work in healthcare, are first responders, essential community personnel and parents absolutely need to keep working to maintain employment. All five Ada County club sites are open 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday-Friday for members.
