This became obvious to me this past weekend.

Well, we did it. My husband and I decorated for Christmas this past weekend. I think this will go down in our history as the earliest we have ever decorated. Usually it's not until after Thanksgiving or, at our earliest, it is the week of turkey day.

So, this is new!

I would also like to point out that this is the first year, in a long time, that my husband and I decorated together. Typically, I'm the one doing the decorating because I just can't wait any longer.

Needless to say, it was a different experience this year. And I learned something about my husband and I. For some reason, it's never come to light before.

We decorate trees differently.

To put it simply, I'm a decorate-the-entire-tree-all-the-way-around kind of person. My husband, on the other hand, is a Jess-no-one-sees-the-back-of-the-tree kind of person.

And we're married to each other?

Where did I go wrong here? I thought I read all of the signs early on? How can you neglect an entire section of a tree? Not to mention, our tree sits in the corner of our living room so that's basically 2/3 of the tree that is just naked.

NAY-KED.

So, here's my question to you. How do you decorate your tree? Are there lights, ornaments, ribbon, popcorn strings, etc on all 360 degrees? Or does it only matter what the people see?

Obviously, I'm a full decorator, but you may be a half decorator. And that's fine. There's room at the table for all of us.

Just don't buy the tree that rotates, if you're the latter.
