My Project Started This Weekend

This is the what I am dealing with in the front yard!So I moved into the new place in November and had no idea the front yard was in such great shape..NOT!!!

I started over the weekend patching the yard, maybe I should just start over? I used the mulch, seed patch stuff on Friday and it was looking good Saturday and Sunday then yesterday there was a dog from down the street eating the patch stuff... Now I hope that this stuff won't hurt animals, but now I'm back to square one on most of the lawn... Hummmmm is about all I can say.. More pictures coming on the project!!
