Make Your Child the Next LITE-FM Radio Star
As we wrap-up the second week of having the kids home for an extended Spring Break, you've heard the words "I'm bored, there's nothing to do" one too many times. Next time your littles say that, grab your smart phone and see if they're up to our "Kid DJ Challenge!"
We want your kids to join Jen Austin, Delilah and I as one of the DJs on 107.9 LITE-FM! Think they'd have fun hearing themselves on the radio? Here's what you need to do!
1) Download the LITE-FM Mobile App Using the Box Below
2) Open The Menu Inside the LITE-FM Mobile App
To do that, click the three little lines in the upper left hand corner of the app once you open the main page of the app. We've circled it so you know what you're looking for!
3) Click Submit Photo/Video
Pretty self explanatory, but we've drawn a box around what you're looking for just in case.
4) Fill Out the Form
Make sure to fill in your name and e-mail address so that we can give you a heads up which day we've selected your child as one of our Kids DJs!
5) Click Select and Submit Media Now
Pick "Record Short Audio Clip" to open the audio recorder. Hit record and have your child read the phrase in italics. When you want to stop recording push done.
You can feed it to them the script line by line if you'd like. We'll work our radio magic to edit your voice out of the clip before they make their debut on 107.9 LITE-FM if we need to! When you're satisfied with your recording hit submit to send it to us. (BTW, playback on our app is extremely soft. It sounds fine on our end, so send those recordings our way!)
Hi! This is (your child's name) and I go to (your child's school!) Thanks for working from home with one-oh-seven point nine LITE F-M.
6) Listen to 107.9 LITE-FM
We'll send you a heads up if we pick your child as a "Kid DJ" so that you can tell everyone you know to be listening to 107.9 LITE-FM to hear them! If you receive an e-mail, your child's greeting air in the 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. hour on the day we tell you it's scheduled.
