Semi Truck Rollover Accident Reported in Southern Idaho on I84

The Idaho State Police have reported and are investigating an injury accident involving a semi-truck rollover on Interstate 84 near Heyburn.

The accident happened around 5:08 AM on Friday, August 14th, on Interstate 84 near mile marker 205. Idaho State Police responded to a report of a semi-truck that had rolled over on the highway into the median. Two people were injured in the accident.

A 2019 Freightliner pulling a 2019 Utility trailer, driven by a 29-year-old male from Washington, with a 23-year-old male passenger, also from Washington, was traveling eastbound on I84.

The Freightliner failed to maintain its lane and turned over on its side in the median.

The passenger was wearing a seatbelt and was taken to a local hospital by ground ambulance. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken by air ambulance to the hospital.

The Idaho 511 map currently shows two alerts in the area at mile markers 201 and 204

Based on the info from Idaho 511, it looks like all westbound lanes are blocked from mile marker 201 to 208, and drivers should expect delays. Eastbound lanes should also expect delays, as a crash is reportedly blocking 1 lane of travel near mile marker 204.
