Major Fast Food Chain in ID, WA, and UT Closing 200 Locations

Over the last few years, many restaurants, fast food chains, and businesses that once dominated this country have had to close locations or go out of business. Some of the closures have been shocking, and others had the writing on the wall that something was going to happen sooner or later. Despite all of these chains closing locations nationwide, it is still surprising when one has to close, and the anticipation grows to see if the store closest to you is on the list of closures. A major food chain in Idaho, Washington, and Utah is set to close hundreds of locations, and there are signs your store could be next.

Jack in the Box Closing Hundreds of Locations

One of the most popular food chains in the country is Jack in the Box. Currently with locations in 22 states and over 2,200 stores, the chain based out of San Diego has been feeding customers for years and has been thriving. That has recently changed as they have announced they will be closing around 200 locations moving forward, with between 80 and 120 set to close by the end of this year. It is currently unknown which locations will be closing, but underperforming stores will be at the top of the list, and it is already known that two Seattle stores are among those closing this year.

While no one knows for sure which stores will be closed, there are signs to look for if the one you go to will be on the list. If the store sees low foot traffic or there are never cars in the drive-thru, that is not a good sign. If the store you enjoy has been around a while, looks like it could use upgrades, and is an older store, then it likely will be on the list. If the building has an outdated interior, the operating hours have randomly changed, and the store seems understaffed, you may have the right to be concerned.

Not only is Jack in the Box looking to close these locations, but they are also looking to sell Del Taco, which could affect the chain moving forward. While nothing is official yet, be on the lookout for Del Taco stores closing as well, depending on what happens in the coming months.
