There are few things more exciting in sports than March Madness. Whether you follow along with the college basketball season or not, once March hits, everything becomes a bracket and everyone is glued to their tv's for major upsets and insane buzzer beaters.

One thing that has no business getting involved with such a fun event? Politics.

This morning, a politician in Michigan has somehow found a way to work politics into the 'greatest show on earth' that is March Madness. Irresponsible and overly assumptive photos and statements posted on social media have the Gonzaga men's basketball team in the middle of an online conversation that most couldn't have expected...

Here's a look at the tweet that went up from Michigan State Representative Matt Maddock from this morning:

Despite the fact that hundreds if not thousands of folks have replied to him to say that the photographed plane and busses were for Gonzaga University's men's basketball team...he has yet to respond, apologize, or walk back the accusation. In fact, here's a look at Gonzaga's program

What on earth is going on!?

This isn't the first story line with charged political undertones going on during March Madness. On the women's side, just days ago, the University of Utah women's team who was playing in Spokane, had accommodations changed due to alleged racial hate crimes.

Since posting the original accusation--he has only replied to some folks calling them "commies". Yikes.

This Former Nampa Basketball Star is ESPN's Darling

It's not often that you see Sports Center re-run a single play as often as they did last night. The good folks at ESPN could not get enough of the dominating performance by one particular Texas Tech player who left it all on the court. His team defeated Baylor-- the defending National Champion and the only remaining undefeated team in the country this season.
Plot twist, this player has some serious Idaho ties-- with NO offers out of High School, Adonis Arms played in Nampa at Northwest Nazarene University where he gained the skill set and the reputation to make his way up to the big time stage.
