You used to watch The Jersey Shore, right? Remember when the boys would get all hype and yell "T-SHIRT TIIIIIIME!!!!!"?

Ok. Channel that voice, and that energy.

IT'S RECALL TIIIIIIIME!!

(Just realized that isn't nearly as fun. Sorry)

A recall on Kia vehicles? We have two at home! What's going on?

Pretty straight forward, really. This week, Kia America announced they're recalling almost 40,000 vehicles. The reason? An error in the HVAC system that could result in a fire risk. Clearly not something you want to happen as you're driving around in your Kia.

Unfortunately, some of the vehicles being recalled were sold, and are being driven, in Idaho, so you'll want to check with your local dealership to see if your car is due for a quick fixer upper.

Don't think just because you aren't driving a Kia means you're out of the woods. You're definitely not.

The recall goblins have been putting things in high gear in 2025, which resulted in tens of thousands of Toyota models getting recalled just a few short months ago. If you're driving a Toyota, and missed this memo, definitely take the time to have a second look:

Believe it or not, this isn't even the first time this year that Kia has been forced to issue a massive recall on many of their vehicles. While Kia's are known overall to be pretty safe vehicles to operate, back-to-back big ol' recalls in less that one year doesn't put the brand in the best light, to say the least.

Can you identify a Kia Telluride? You may not want to park in front of one, especially on a hill! Here's a closer look.
