Idaho is stunning. Outside travelers are usually surprised at the incredible beauty that the gem state has. From mountains, to lakes, to rivers to forest, to desert, to grasslands and more, we have it all. Word is getting out about how majestic Idaho really is. A new travel study just came out suggesting the top 10 must visit travel destinations in the United States for 2023. A small and favorite Idaho town was among them, and I can't argue it at all. When I first visited this destination, just a few hours' drive from Boise, I was in awe.

To come up with its ranking of top domestic staycation spots, Travel Lens took a few key factors into consideration. It analyzed the most popular tourist locations in the country, and then it looked at the number of restaurants and attractions per 10,000 people as well as safety levels, affordability, and even average temperatures.

The Idaho town that made the list at number nine is Stanley Idaho. "Thanks to its population of less than 300, the small town takes the top spot in its proportion of restaurants, with over 400 per 10,000 people. Stanley, Idaho, has by far the highest proportion of attractions, with a whopping 1,065 per 10,000 people. The town is the perfect destination for exploring the outdoors, and some of the best things to do in Stanley are the hiking trails, horseback riding tours, and world-class fly fishing."

Other places on the top ten list include:  Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Key West, Florida, Page, Arizona and in our neighboring state Moab, Utah. To see the full list and learn more. Check out Travel Lens. Scroll down to see some jaw dropping rentals and homes in Stanley Idaho.
