Is Someone on the Boise Bench Shooting People with Frogs?

Just when we didn't think 2020 could get any more bizarre, a post in the popular "Boise Bench Dwellers" Facebook group caught our eye.

This morning while scrolling through my newsfeed, I stopped when I saw two photos of large and seemingly lifeless frogs laying on the sidewalk. Growing up, I loved playing with frogs and toads that made their way into our backyard so my immediate thought before reading the caption was "those poor little frogs."

After reading the caption my next thought was "what in the actual h-e-double hockey sticks is going on on Vista?!" The woman who posted the photos explained that someone had shot them out of a car window using something similar to a potato gun. Her boyfriend was walking his dog when it happened and the frogs hit him hard enough to leave bruises. She explained the vehicle they were shot out of was a white Scion.

The couple did say that they filed a police report.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic started, we've read some really weird stuff online...but this one takes the cake and I still feel really bad for those poor little frogs.
