It's game day in Br...Potato Nation! Boise State's Mountain West rivals the Nevada Wolfpack take on the Ohio University Bobcats in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Friday, January 3 at 1:30 p.m.

For the first time since the 2003 Humanitarian Bowl, the Boise hosted bowl game falls after New Year's Day and I'm pretty darn excited about that. College football was a HUGE part of the reason I chose to move to Boise nearly a decade ago and I've never had a chance to go to a bowl game. I'm always too broke to travel to Boise State's game or out of town for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. So this is my year to finally experience a bowl game!

If you're planning on coming to the game too, make sure you stop by the Fan Fest in the West Parking Lot. It's open from 11 a.m. - 2p.m. Simplot is bringing out their giant fryer that cooks up to 2,000 pounds of fries per hour for a FREE all you can eat fry feed before the game. The feed also comes with a side of burgers in the form of sliders.

You know it wouldn't be the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl without a chance to take a photo with with the potato truck. It'll be at the Fan Fest for you to snap selfies with.

If you have littles who love football and want to try their hand at some of the same football drills that the Broncos go through, stop into the Caven Williams Sports Complex between 11:30-1:30 to see our friends from St. Luke's FitOne for their Family Field Day. They'll have those drills set-up for kids to try their hand at. Axiom will also be there with some fun GroupX activities during field day.

Still have a couple days of vacation to burn or think things around the office are slow enough today that you want to sneak out for the game? Tickets start at just $20, so make it happen by clicking HERE.
