When news started breaking that police were searching Chad Daybell's property earlier this week, people across the Gem State got a horrible feeling in the pit of their stomachs.

That search confirmed everyone's worst fears. During that search, law enforcement found human remains belonging to two different people. While the autopsy results are still pending, several family members have come forward to confirm the remains were those of JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan. The children were last seen in September 2019 and their mother Lori Vallow Daybell was arrested in February on felony desertion and nonsupport of dependent children charges.

Lori and Chad got married on November 5, less than a month after Chad's wife Tammy died. Chad is being held on $1 million bond and faces felony charges of evidence destruction, alteration or concealment after the remains were found on his property.

As the case makes its way through the judicial system, vigils remember the two children who were taken from us far too soon are being planned all over the state of Idaho.

Boise's candlelight vigil will take place in front of the State Capitol building on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. Those wishing to pay their respect are asked to bring flameless candles only. The organizers are also asking attendees to wear a mask since we're still very much navigating our way through the COVID-19 situation.

A limited amount of blue and orange glow sticks and bubbles will be passed out. The bubbles will be used as part of the final send off after the final prayer. If you've got some at home, you're welcome to bring your own.

For those who are not able to attend, the vigil will be live streamed on both Facebook and Twitch.
