Soldier Mountain is giving parents a prime opportunity to turn the kids loose on mountain bikes this weekend at the Southern Idaho Gravity Bike Race, and any adult that wants to rip down the mountain can show off their skills too.

Soldier Mountain, near Fairfield, decided to shut down for the season, but other resorts will try to hang in there for another few weeks.

A brand new mountain bike park is opening this weekend, and it's just a short road trip away.
