Pete's Dragon is showing in several places around the Valley now, include the Edwards Boise Downtown Stadium 9, Stadium 21 and IMAX, and Village Cinema. It's awesome, right?  If you've seen it, see if these three things surprised you too.

We don't do it every day, but for some reason on the 4th of July we don't think twice about lighting a stick that burns at 2000 degrees and handing it to a 3-year old.  Maybe not the best idea!  Kids get injured from this one particular type of firework more than any other.

My dad is getting up there in years, but no teenager is going to out-emoji this guy!  He's determined to fully express himself through pics of beer mugs, corn in the husk, and Christmas trees. By the way, did you hear what emoji might be coming next?  You and my dad will wonder how you survived without it for this long.

These are my amazing parents, and I am so proud of them.  Not only do they make great cows, but today is also their 43rd wedding anniversary.  Not many couples make it that far!

My girls have been begging for a companion dog for our beloved Harry for months, and I finally caved after reading an article about why dogs make great Christmas gifts for kids.  But is this really a good idea? She's chewing up stuff.

This is my sweet Piper, who turned 4 yesterday.  Think I'm in trouble? Yes, I agree.  Kids are so easy until they start getting personalities, ornery streaks, thoughts and opinions! Check out what Piper wanted for her birthday this year.  It was an idea that just had to be squashed!
