St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner and it's time to make your plans to celebrate in the biggest way possible.

Can you give up plastic bags for a month? The City of Boise is challenging us all to use fewer single-use plastics during the month of July and choose more sustainable options.

Being green not only keeps us healthier, but the experts say it can be good for the economy too because it keeps us efficient with dollars and creates new sets of jobs across a whole bunch of different industries. And once again, Boise is one of the best places in the country for this greatness.

Boise Airport is going more green with the installation of new solar panels on the rooftop of the facility. This solar project will be used to provide hot water for parts of the airport.

The new library at Bown Crossing is nestled in with bike racks and pedestrian paths, and it's not far from the Greenbelt.  It's green to the core when it opens up later this week, and it will even including a reading room with a fireplace.

Do you participate in St. Patrick's Day?  I haven't in years past, but now with an eight year-old, I feel the need to embrace our "themed" holidays.  So I've gone green.
